Mr. MacLeod’s broad expertise encompasses general business litigation, professional malpractice claims, insurance coverage matters and construction-related claims. He has tried more than twenty cases in court, participated in numerous binding and non-binding arbitrations, and attended approximately 1,000 depositions.
Mr. MacLeod came to Willoughby, Stuart & Bening from Farmers Insurance, where he defended Farmers’ insureds against major personal injury and property damage claims. While at Farmers, he was chosen to attend the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and was twice-named Trial Lawyer of the Year for the San Jose office. Mr. MacLeod also has experience handling defense of construction defect, contractor’s license bond, public entity and personal injury cases.
Mr. MacLeod earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Originally from Glendale, California, Mr. MacLeod today lives in San Jose with his wife and two children. They all are avid San Jose Sharks fans.
